Useful File Utilities

   1. How to copy files from different directories and subdirectories without copying the subdirectories themselves.

If you often work with many files and documents and you need to copy them from different directories and subdirectories without copying the subdirectories themselves, it is very convenient for you to use BASKET.

1) At the left upper corner of the window you can see the button BROWSER. First, you should press this button and select the main directory (or directories) from which you need to copy the files. You can do it using right button of your mouse or pressing direction buttons and SPACE. The selected directories will be printed in red color.

2) At the left lower corner of the window there is button SEND TO BASKET. Press it. After this In basket will appear links to files. At the foot you can see the number of the files in Basket. And the selected directory (directories) will become black again.

3) Open the BASKET in the menu by pressing this button. You will see the list of all files and folders which are situated in the directory (directories), you have selected. And at the foot of the window you can see the number of these files and folders.

4) Select the files that should be copied to another directory pressing direction buttons and SPACE or using your mouse. The selected directories will be printed in red color. And at the foot of the window there will be the number of the selected files and their total size.

5) Press F5 (or COPY at the foot of the window) – a new window will appear. You should choose the path to the directory you want to copy files to. You can write it down yourself or press BROWSE and find the directory you need. Then press OK.

All of the selected files will be copied to the directory you have chosen.
